Hello, friends! I just wanted to share a short thought on a verse that jumped out to me when reading 1 John. 

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.” - ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬ ‭

It is not just HIS will for us to do HIS commandments, it’s HIS love! This is a way on how GOD shows HIS love to us: by abiding in HIM. (John 15:9-10) And it is restful, not a burden. Oh, what a beautiful GOD we have!

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭

“The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭16‬:‭6‬ ‭

Obeying HIM is pleasant. As it is stated in Psalm 119, HIS Law is something to cherish. I love the latter half of the verse in Psalm 16. Our beautiful inheritance is JESUS HIMSELF—all we have in HIM. 

It is so evident to see GOD's overflowing love when we obey HIM!
