Hello, friends! I wanted to share a piece of GOD's sovereignty that can bring so much comfort to you. 

"He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him."
Colossians 2:15

JESUS has already won. There is nothing that any ruler has ever done, can do, or will do that is outside of the sovereignty of GOD. 

When I read this verse, it immediately reminded me of Revelation. Here are a few passages (and a bonus one from John!) to encourage you with the absolute sovereignty of our GOD.

"Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while."
Revelation 20:1-3

"And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."
Revelation 20:7-10

"Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”"
Revelation 12:7-12

"They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”"
Revelation 17:14

"So Pilate said to him, “You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and authority to crucify you?” Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.”"
John 19:10-11

As we live in a dark, broken, and sinful world, it can be easy to become consumed by the unsettling uncertainty of the unknown. But friends, take comfort. Though we do not know what lies ahead, our LORD and Savior has written the entirety of this world's story before HE even created it.

There has never been a plan B. GOD has never overlooked a single thing. HIS whole story is one picture, and HE designed it in a way that our finite human minds cannot conceive.

So, through all the chaos around us, remember that it is all held in the grasp of GOD.

No personal pain in your life—and no consequence brought about by unjust authorities—goes unseen. Take heart in our loving and sovereign CHRIST!
